The Jamaican Diaspora UK (JDUK) aims to promote and protect the interests of Jamaica and Jamaicans (see Membership description of who qualifies to be a Jamaican) and to contribute to the country’s development.

Hurricane Melissa has swept through the Caribbean region and has left a trail of devastation in its wake. Homes have been damaged or destroyed, infrastructure severely compromised, and many families are now facing unprecedented hardship. The force of the category 5 winds, coupled with torrential rainfall, has resulted in widespread flooding, power outages, and disruption to essential services. The damage far beyond many of our expectations.

Our History

The history of an initiative by the Government of Jamaica to engage Jamaicans who reside outside Jamaica, and how The Jamaican Diaspora UK (JDUK) has played a positive and active role in implementating that initiative.
