Under Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 the Jamaican Diaspora UK (JDUK) Management Board are the Data Controller and the Secretary acts as our Data Protection Officer.
We are collecting this information to enable the JDUK board to keep in touch with you as appropriate. Data Protection legislation allows us to process this information as we regard it as being in JDUK’s Management Board legitimate interest.
- Your name and contact details will be entered onto the JDUK Management Board database which is held in paper (membership form), computer, and password protected and accessed only by the Membership Secretary. The information you supply on the Membership form held as a paper file in a locked cabinet and accessed only by the Membership secretary
Your contact details will be removed from the electronic database and your membership form destroyed once you are no longer a member of JDUK.

You have the right to ask to see any information we hold about you by submitting a ‘Subject Access Request’ to the JDUK Membership Secretary c/o ACNA Community Centre, 31 Hungerhill Road, St Ann’s Nottingham NG3 4NB*. You also have the right to ask for information which you believe to be incorrect to be rectified.
